Inspiring for the uninitiated, bit disappointing for those already underway

The Pros.
For people who don't read much and who are new to the field of personal success and financial independence, this is a great read.
It contains a lot of eye openers. It is very well written and has a friendly and pleasant tone.
Although the book is primarily about money, Mrs Lofton's model of personal development can serve the reader as a tool to balance financial development with other areas such as the social and spiritual arenas.
The Cons
For people who regularly read financial success books, notably those of Robert Kiyosaki, this book doesn't contain enough new information to warrant reading it. I would have appreciated the author explaining more about the techniques she uses to purchase and develop investment properties. For example, I would have liked a whole chapter on the concept of "value added real estate investing" that she mentions in the book.

One of the few TRUE inspirational stories I've read

This might sound cliche, but Gena's story is inspiring. Not in the same overused sense as every other entrepreneur's journey - Gena's story resonated with me and stuck out from all of the other self help books out there. She experienced REAL struggles like homelessness and loss of family. If she can overcome those obstacles, you have no excuse! This book motivated me to get to work and take accountability for the life that I WANT!
The content was laid out in an easy to read manner and the message is simple - do not depend on anyone but yourself.
BOTTOM LINE - This book is relatively short and easy to read. It will change your outlook on life (another cliche) if you are strong enough to admit that you're nowhere near your potential!

Great book for anyone who wants to change thier 9-5 life. This is an excellent guide if you are still in the rat race and want to learn the steps to financial independence. This book is by no means all inclusive, but a great start to your financial future put in simplistic terms.
